      There are a lot of qualities a patient looks for in a dentist.  After all, letting someone put their fingers in your mouth is an intimate thing.  You want someone friendly, gentle, compassionate, and of course skilled.  Dr. Garry is all of these things and so much more.  She and her staff are top-notch.  When I walk into Dr. Garry’s office, whether it’s for a cleaning, a toothache, or any other reason, I know I will be treated in a professional and caring way.

      We love New Prague Dental!!!  The dentists, hygienists and ladies in the office are friendly and fun.  We especially love when they polish our teeth and when we get prizes.

      I walked into Dr. Garry’s office absolutely petrified as I had had very bad experiences with several dentists in the past.  Because of that, I did not go to a dentist for years.  Yes, until my mouth was so bad I couldn’t stand it anymore.  Well, back to Dr. Garry.  She is my angel.  With no pain during my first few visits, I decided to finish my mouth work which took months.  Thank you Dr. Garry and nurses.  I recommend anyone scared, fearful, doesn’t like needles or just doesn’t like the chair, to go to Dr. Garry.  They are wonderful.

      Thump, thump, thump goes your heart.  Thumps are those irritating inconveniences that trigger the worst in us.  They catch us off guard flat footed.  They aren’t big enough to be a crisis, but if you get enough of them, watch out!  Traffic jams, long lines, late night phone calls, grouchy kids, burnt meals, dirty clothes on the floor, flat tires and “you’ve got to be kidding” deadlines… those are thumps.

But then there’s the major thump, thump, thump… TOMORROW’S DENTAL APPOINTMENT!

Been thumped lately?

Well, do I have good news for you!  Here is my story.. Late one evening while drinking a cup of hot tea and chewing on a piece of dark chocolate, my back tooth broke.  My Florida trip was less than 30 hours away and no doubt my tooth needed immediate attention.

In the past, three friends had recommended their dentist, Dr. Kathleen Garry, to me.  All three friends said “I just love her!”  My thought was “who loves their DENTIST?”

So early the next morning, I called the New Prague Dental Center and told them my predicament.  The gal that answered the phone was not only pleasant, but she made a way to get me an early morning appointment.

As I pulled into the parking lot, you guessed it… Thump, thump, thump.  I looked up, said a quick prayer and opened the door.  Sitting at the desk was a smiling face that greeted me and gave me a form to fill out.  As I was completing the form, I heard laughter coming from the other room.  Busyness was everywhere-what a happy place this was.  The thumps stopped and peace enveloped me.

As I was ushered to a room, a smiling, friendly dental assistant was there to greet me.  Then in comes Dr. Garry-who carries the biggest smile of all.  I found her to be not only caring, gentle and personable, but she also has a great sense of humor.  It’s like you’ve known her all your life!  At one point, I was told to bite down.  I did, and Dr. Garry’s finger was sandwiched between my upper and lowers.  She just smiled and said “you are quick on the draw.”

The best just got better-it’s a favorite slogan with advertisers.  It’s not that my previous dentist was poor; it’s just that my current one is better!  I was so blessed by Dr. Garry and her entire staff.  And friends, I can say to you, “I just love her!”

Why settle for anything less? (Hmmm, there’s another catchy slogan…)
